3B have tasted lots of new food as part of their Earth Investigator topic. We tried Goose Grass tea and made our own popcorn using a very clever contraption. There are chives growing in the vegetable patch and some of us got to try these.
Year 2 had a wonderful time investigating different habitats around school. We found woodlouse, snails, slugs, earthworms and spiders. We compared two different habitats and explored their features discussing the similarities and differences.
In 1M we are learning about Light and Dark. This is our amazing space capsule, once inside we are transported into Outer Space!
Year 2 have been using their adventurous outdoor skills to orienteer their way around the school campus. We have been learning how to set and thumb our map and follow a string course, racing against other teams! It was a wonderful workout for our brains and bodies.
Year 5 are learning all about ‘keeping healthy’ in Science this half term. One of the areas we are studying is micro-organisms. We decided to investigate how conditions affect the rate of food decay by wiping slices of bread in different places and leaving them to go mouldy!
