It was a pleasure to take 12 children from years 5 and 6 to compete in a Handball competition at Shenley Academy.
The children showed superb sportsmanship and organisational skills putting themselves into 2 teams and giving tactical advice.
In total, a phenomenal 19 teams took part in the tournament. Each school showed brilliant skills and strategy. Undeterred by the skills on display, our children powered through and came third overall.
All children displayed the values of the school games; their self-belief and determination was strongly on show.
Shantel Nyoni “I was scared to be in goal because I didn’t think I’d be any good, but then I believed I could do it and I saved loads of goals.”
Ellie Waller “the was great fun. What’s the next competition?”
