On Thursday 1st December, children from Years 5 and 6 competed in a Level 1 Basketball competition.
The children have been working extremely hard in the afterschool club to develop their skills, tactics and knowledge of rules. They had been preparing hard for the competition collaborating well with their team mates and sharing tactical ideas.
They put everything they have learnt and developed into practice; both teams playing hard to win.
The game started and saw both teams eager to score, showing fantastic communication and skills. By the end of the first half purple team were 2 baskets ahead.
During the half time break, blue team encouraged each other and came back onto court eager to score baskets.
Both teams played extremely well which resulted in a final score of 8-8.
Well done everyone, we are very proud of you.
Thank you to the parents who came to support the children.
Thank you to Miss Burns for all your hard work this term.
