On Monday 18th July, Year 6 were lucky enough to visit the West Midlands Safari Park. We went on a safari on the coach and learnt lots of interesting facts about the animals from our guide, we even saw the baby rhino! After lunch, we were able to meet lots of animals such as a hissing cockroach and a corn snake. Our particular favourite was Bob the tenrec who was extremely cute! Following this, we explored some of the other areas including the bat cave, the penguin enclosure and the dinosaur exhibit. We then walked round the African Village and were able to walk amongst the lemurs and meerkats which was a fantastic experience. The final activity was the rides which were fun and exciting and a great end to the day. Thank you to all the parent helpers and Mrs Scott-Reed and Mrs Adcock who joined the Year 6 teachers and TAs for the trip. Here are some photos of our day.
