Year 3 had an exciting start to their new topic all about Brazil. They enjoyed listing to some Brazilian music with Portuguese singers and let of some steam whilst learning a dance routine fit for a Brazilian carnival.

Year 3 really enjoyed themselves when visiting The Lunt (a partially-reconstructed timber fort). They were able to stand in the ramparts, explore the exhibition in the granary and imagine themselves training horses in the gyrus. We had a visit from a horse and a farrier as part of our topic on The Elves and the shoemaker. We got to see how horses wear shoes too! The farrier removed the old shoes and replaced them with new metal horseshoes. We had a really great time!
