Year 3 were able to really get into the spirt of Christmas today. They all thoroughly enjoyed visiting St Johns Church to watch a production of the Christmas Story. Everyone also had a ball when singing some Christmas carols. Year 3 are so excited for Christmas now. Santa Claus is definitely coming to town!
On Thursday Year 1 had a workshop that allowed them to explore toys from the past. We started with stone age toys all the way up to toys from today. Some of the children’s favourites were the toys made from animal bones, wooden horses and the bow and arrows.
Today Miss Setchell came to join us to share her toys from her childhood. We really enjoyed finding out what Miss Setchell and her brothers used to play with. Year 3 really enjoyed themselves when visiting The Lunt (a partially-reconstructed timber fort). They were able to stand in the ramparts, explore the exhibition in the granary and imagine themselves training horses in the gyrus.
